MY PURPOSE IS TO DISCOVER POTENTIAL & CREATE POSSIBILITY.

I help athletes & business people unlock their killer instinct in a new area of their life. Then I help them develop the physical and mental skills they need to level up, so that they can achieve greatness in their health, wealth & performance and exceed what they thought was possible.

I’ve always pursued high performance in my own life.

I’ve run two 6-figure physiotherapy businesses in highly competitive niches…

I’ve competed in elite level basketball in New Zealand…

I’ve helped hundreds of clients achieve goals they never thought possible.

But it hasn’t always been this way.

how i found my own killer instinct.

I first discovered I had an hidden competitive killer when I was 12 years old. I was playing in a regional tennis tournament in New Zealand.

It was a scorching hot summer day. My opponent and I were locked at one set all. It had been a long, tough match so far, and my legs were starting to feel like jelly.

During the set break, I snuck a glance at my competition on the other side of the net. He looked tired and desperate. He looked pleadingly up at his coach in the stands, as if to say, 'Help me out!'

In that moment, I knew I had him beat. I saw his weakness. And I knew I could dig deep to find more in the tank.

So I went for the jugular. I started the third set aggressively, hitting deep in the court and making him run back and forth along the baseline.

I destroyed him 6-0.

Now, at the time I didn’t realise this was killer instinct. I thought it was normal to be able to read my opponent… to see his weakness in a single facial expression… And then overcome my own fatigue to finish him off.

But it wasn’t until I lost my killer instinct that I started to understand what it takes to achieve greatness.

i was humiliated.

Years later, I was playing basketball for Hawkes Bay in New Zealand. I was on track to go professional.

But my head wasn’t right. My teammates had bullied me on and off court all season, calling me ‘skinny’ and ‘weak’. I had responded by acting tougher than ever, but inside I was full of doubt. I wasn’t at my best physically, trailing behind in training. I came off the court during one session, feeling like my heart was going to thump right out of my chest.

I didn’t find out until years later that I had the beginning of a heart condition. But all my coach could say to me at the time was, ‘Yeah that’s it, you’ve got no heart’.

Then one day, I found myself in the final minutes of a game. We were down by one point. I was about to take a free throw that could win us the game.

I glanced over at my teammates. Seeing me with the ball, they all looked like we’d lost already.

My shoulders dropped.

I missed both shots.

There is one crucial lesson in this story that I didn't learn until I spent the next 20 years studying the greats - and what sets the one percenters apart from the rest.

#1

never, ever go to war with yourself.

If you get in your own way, you can't win.

This is first step to unlocking your killer instinct. And it's what I was missing that day on the basketball court. I was doubting myself... I was afraid of being judged... I was scared to take the shot I hadn't even made yet.

Now, this is the first thing I work on with clients. I help you get out of your own way so that you're unconflicted with what you want & how to get there.

#2

if you want to be great, you need the right environment.

That basketball environment was toxic for me. Looking back now, it’s no wonder I gave up the game in my early 20s.

The truth is, I never reached my highest potential as an athlete.

I thought being ‘talented’ was enough to get by.

I also had knee arthritis and an undiagnosed heart condition – which now form part of my longevity journey. But that’s another story for another day.

Having spent decades studying the greatest athletes of our time, I can now see what it takes to really make it.

Because you can be the most ‘talented’ kid on the block… but unless you put yourself in the right environment to thrive, you’ll forever remain just that.

A talented kid.

So now my goal in life is to create the environment in which ex-athletes can unlock their killer instinct to reach their highest potential & exceed what they thought was possible.

I’ve helped a psychiatrist & father of three go from feeling old, weak & fearful about training… to being the strongest & fittest he’s ever been. (He’s now back to running around with his kids again.)

I’ve helped a business owner & mother of two break past her physical & mental plateaus to reach new personal records in her deadlifts. (She won the Spartan Obstacle Race not long after.)

I’ve helped a 70-year-old woman who felt like her best days were behind her, to rediscover her passion for life again. (Then she set off on a road trip around Australia with an old flame.)

I’ve helped a 60-year-old ex-Ironman overcome debilitating injuries… to being strong, healthy and excited about his next challenges.

Now, it’s your turn.

Discover how you can unlock your killer instinct to level up your health, wealth & performance.
